Upcoming Bellingham Festival Announces Vibrant Lineup
2025-03-28

This year, the Northwest Tune-Up festival is set to bring an electrifying mix of music and cycling events to the Bellingham Waterfront. Taking place from July 11-13, the event will focus on themes of dance, rock, and groove with performances spanning multiple genres. Day one features a headlining performance by STS9, while Silversun Pickups closes out the second night. The festival has condensed its musical offerings into two days, with various bike-related activities filling the schedule in between.

While local talent may be absent this year, the festival continues to celebrate community engagement through demos, races, and stunt shows. Tickets are available now, with early bird pricing ending soon.

A Musical Extravaganza Across Genres

The festival's first day kicks off with a diverse lineup that includes acts such as HARBOUR, The Pharcyde, and The SteelDrivers before STS9 takes the stage. Known for their genre-defying sound, STS9 promises an unforgettable experience blending funk, jazz, and electronic music. This vibrant start sets the tone for what’s to come.

Hunter Motto, the festival's Music Director, highlights the importance of creating a dynamic atmosphere through music. With artists representing indie, alt-rock, and hip-hop, attendees can expect a rich tapestry of sounds. The inaugural evening showcases both established names and emerging talents, ensuring there's something for everyone. From the rhythmic beats of hip-hop to the soulful tones of jazz-infused melodies, the variety ensures a memorable opening act.

Bicycle Adventures and Community Engagement

In addition to the musical spectacle, the festival offers a range of bicycle-related activities designed to engage participants and foster community spirit. Races, demonstrations, and stunt shows provide entertainment between performances. These events cater to enthusiasts of all levels, promoting inclusivity and excitement.

By consolidating musical performances into two days, the organizers aim to enhance the overall festival experience. While no Bellingham-based acts have been announced for this year, past editions have featured local favorites like Petty or Not, who celebrated iconic musicians such as Tom Petty and Fleetwood Mac. This year’s program underscores a commitment to combining world-class music with interactive community experiences. As tickets go on sale, early bird opportunities encourage fans to secure their spots early for what promises to be a thrilling weekend.
